Two webinars will be presented in February regarding the development of the management strategy evaluation (MSE) for Atlantic bluefin tuna by the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT). See additional information below.

An informal bluefin tuna MSE workshop is hosted by Dr. Steve Cadrin of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in collaboration with National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) scientists and managers. The workshop will include an introduction to MSE, an interactive presentation of the operating models and candidate management procedures to be tested by this process, and discussion of performance metrics and how the MSE process contributes to ICCAT scientists’ advice regarding stock management.
