Florida’s premiere sailfish tournament, the Buccaneer Cup, is only days away, but you can still enter online at Buccaneer Cup.com or at the Captain’s Meeting at 4 PM January 22, 2015 at the Buccaneer Marina and Restaurant.
The entry fee gets you into the running for $10,000 in cash prizes and includes six tickets to the captains meeting/party and the gala awards banquet at the Sailfish Club in Palm Beach.
The Buccaneer Cup is one of the oldest continuously run billfish tournaments in the world and a charity event benefiting the Recreational Fishing Alliance and the Florida Fish for Life Cancer Fund.
“The Buc Cup is one of the oldest billfish tournaments in the country,” said Gary Caputi, tournament co-director.
“A small group of volunteers work very hard to put on a first class event that brings together great competitors, showcases the generosity of our many great sponsors and benefits the RFA and FFL, a cancer charity.”
Fishing days are the 23rd and 24th followed by a gala awards banquet on the evening of the 24th. The sailfish action is heating up and the competition promises to be even hotter.
